STAYING MOTIVATED

Are you having a hard time staying motivated? Are you ready to give up? DON’T QUIT tomorrow is a new day!

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”

-Zig Ziglar

I have big ideas and set some goals and quickly lose the motivation to start working on them. Sound familiar?

The Peloton just sits in my family room waiting to be ridden. When I purchased it, I was motivated. I hoped to lose weight, get in better shape, and overall feel healthier. I rode that bike twice a day and enjoyed it. Then I missed a couple of days, and my motivation was gone. Every morning, I look at the bike sitting there taunting me and think of all the reasons I can’t ride. How do I get my motivation back?

How can we keep motivated so that we can succeed? First, it is vital to keep our eye on the goal. The world is full of distractions, and it is easy to lose our way.

One thing that motivates me is a To-Do list. Every night before I go to bed, I sit down at my desk and plan my day. I love to cross things off my list, so I work hard to complete the written tasks. My problem is if I don’t want to do something, I convince myself that I can do the task tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes.

What can I do to get those things completed? How can I get my motivation back?
