HE HAS RISEN! HE HAS RISEN INDEED!

This week is Holy Week. It started yesterday with Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Christ into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–9) when palm branches were placed in his path.

Maundy Thursday marks the night of the Last Supper as told in the Bible. At the Last Supper, Jesus commanded that people should love one another; He then washed his disciples' feet as an act of kindness.

Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.

FINALLY, WE CELEBRATE EASTER! Easter is the day we celebrate Christ’s resurrection (when Jesus rose from the dead). For Christians, this is one of the most important celebrations of the year. Easter is the foundation of the Christian faith. Without the resurrection, Christianity would mean nothing.

The Bible tells us: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 (NKJ)

God sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross, so that our sins will be forgiven, restore our relationship with Him, and give us eternal life. The only requirement is that we ask Jesus to come into our hearts as our Savior and Lord.

If the things in this blog are new to you, reach out and ask questions. It is my prayer that ALL will pray and ask Christ into their lives. I want to spend eternity with you. Below is an example of a prayer to ask Jesus Christ into your life:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and live. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Amen

If you prayed that prayer, welcome to the family.

Happy Easter, everyone!
